How The Raleigh Dead Drop Works

The Raleigh Dead Drop is a fusion of social media and a scavenger hunt. Every so often opportunities will become available for contestants to find a great assortment of prizes.

When these contests become available a countdown clock will appear on the www.raleighdeaddrop.com homepage. The prizes that are available to be found are provided by the sponsors with whom www.raleighdeadrop.com has partnered. The value of the prize is completely determined by the company that sponsors each dead drop. Each dead drop will be different in nature as some may take longer than others, the processes by which the item is found will be different, the item will be in a different location, etc.

For each dead drop clues will be delivered to the contestants, starting with the first clue posted on this site once the count down ends. The task is to solve the clue, leading you to the next. These clues can be delivered in any way the sponsor sees fit. Some examples of clue delivery might include but are not limited to the following:

  • Email Notifications
  • Text messages
  • Social Network Notifications
  • Handwritten Clues
  • Blog Posts

The first clue of each dead drop will be on the front page of www.raleighdeaddrop.com. The site should be seen as a hub of information for contestants preparing for each dead drop. The first clue to each dead drop will be posted within 5 minutes of the countdown clock expiring.

The prizes for dead drops are always 100% free to the winning contestant. There are no taxes or surcharges to be considered on behalf of the participants. Likewise the process of finding the prize will never entail cost to the participants.

The intended way for contestants to participate in dead drops whether individually or in groups is to work their way through clues that are given at specific points during the search in order to be the first to find the designated prize. It is incumbent on the participants to figure out each clue and no help will be given by www.raleighdeaddrop.com or the sponsors of each dead drop.
